Lee, Whitehall Lead Loggers At Peyton Track and Field Meet

TACOMA, Wash. – Allanah Whitehall won two events and the women's team took second as the Puget Sound track and field teams hosted the Peyton Scoring Meet on Saturday.

Whitehall won the 100 meter dash with a season-best 12.76 and moved to eighth on the Loggers all-time list with a winning time of 26.28 in the 200 meter dash. Whitehall was also a part of two winning relay teams, running the lead leg in the 4x100m and 4x400m.

Molly Bradbury moved into a top-10 list for the Loggers in the steeplechase. She ranks seventh after running 12:50.68. Carrie Keith finished second in the event with a season-best 12:11.96.

Meg Gilbertson also took second in the 400 meter dash while Sierra Grunwald was the runner up in the 1500 meter run. Elizabeth King cleared 10-feet, 6-inches in the pole vault to take second while Sunny Lewis took third.

Cameron Braithwaite led the men's squad with a pair of top-3 finishes in the meet. He took second in the long jump, leaping 22-feet, 2.25-inches. His mark ranks seventh on the Loggers top-10 list. He also tied for third with Joe Cerne in the pole vault as both cleared 13-feet, 11.75-inches.

Matt Klein had a standout performance in the 5k, taking second with a 15:37.42. Justin Bigelow posted a winning time of 32:46.72 in the 10k. Jon Lee posted another winning mark for the Loggers in the triple jump. His leap of 45-feet, 7.25-inches moved him into ninth on the Loggers top-10 list.

The Logger women were just eight points shy of the team title and took second while the men took third.

The Loggers host their final home meet of the year next weekend with the Shotwell Invitational on Saturday.
