PARKLAND, Wash. – Derek Frenzel won three events, but both Puget Sound swim teams fell to Pacific Lutheran in the final dual of the season. The Lutes captured the 127-78 win on the women's side and the 11-92 win on the men's side.
Frenzel won all three events he swam in on Saturday to lead the Loggers. He took the 1000 free with a 9:59.44 before taking the 400 IM with a time of 4:19.09. He wrapped up his day with a 1:57.45 to win the 200 fly.
Jere Jeremikj captured two more event wins for the Loggers with a 1:47.90 in the 200 free and a 48.87 in the 100 free. Keven Henley captured the event win in the 200 back with a 1:59.35.
The Loggers took three events in the women's meet with three different event winners. Sam Anders' time of 2:12.81 was tops in the 200 back. Auri Clark won the 200 fly with a 2:20.14. Her race was one of the closest of the day as she came in just 0.08 seconds ahead of her rival from PLU.
Tracy Wormwood captured the Loggers final event win of the day in the 200 breast with a 2:32.73. She went 1-2 in the event with Jessica Jaynes.
The Loggers wrapped up their dual season on Saturday and will take the next two weeks to prepare for the NWC Championships on Feb. 8-10.
