Class of 1999

In case you've forgotten, in 1999 the world awaited the potentially drastic ramifications of Y2K, the U.S. Senate opened the impeachment trial for President Clinton, Mrs. Hillary Clinton visits Puget Sound, the federal debt was $5978.5 billion, The Blair Witch Project grossed more than $125 million, and Celine Dion takes the song and record of the year with "My Heart Will Go On."

Although it's been 15 years since you were a student at Puget Sound: ONCE A LOGGER, ALWAYS A LOGGER!

What are some of your favorite memories?

“Living in Anderson Langdon we bonded over birthday parties and potlucks.  During early morning crew practice we watched the steam rise off the water as we listened to the rhythm of the oars hitting the water. Late night study sessions with phone calls to pizza time for more sustenance. Visiting professors at their houses for dinner discussions. Living the night life with the girls of Theta. Meeting one of my dearest friends at the freshman welcome picnic.” Noelle Detrich-Eaton

“Friends, crew team, regattas”Alyssa Hagmann

“Passages canoe trip” Amanda Sanders

“Kayaking WA rivers, studying at the library” Tod Lokey

“Although it was many years ago I can still recall my freshman orientation program (Passages) and the fun experiences that we had, particularly off-campus.  I was a reserved, anxious young woman when I started college but thanks to the challenges and opportunities that I embraced at UPS I was able to transition into a campus leader.” Jennifer Betschart
