Class of 1959

Can you believe that it has been 55 years since your time at Puget Sound? No doubt the memories you cherish make it feel like it was just yesterday!

What are some of your favorite memories?

“Meeting fellow students from all walks of life.  Having discussions with some professors with whom I did not have any classes but which broadened my overall experience at the college.  Attending football games and attending exchanges with sororities.”  Jack Falskow

“John Magee forgetfully walking past his 8:00 am philosophy class, thinking we looked familiar. Calvin Brewster Coulter with his sheath of yellow notes lecturing in South Hall.... And friends that have lasted a lifetime.”  John Keliher

“I loved how the grounds were laid out and the flora and fauna was beautiful. Later in life I tried to replicate this beauty on my own acreage by planting trees…and I'm still planting exotic plants in my yard.”  Delman Vosburg

What faculty or staff members do you remember most?

“CPS (then) had excellent instructors, among them Dr. Lyle Shelmidine, Dr. Harold Simonson, Ms. Doris Bennett, Dr. Robert Magee, and Dr. Jackie Martin”  Steve Harris

“Mr Duncon  pool director and coach--  He was always fair, equal and supportive."  Lewis Harrison
