Scenes from Summer Reunion
It seemed as if winter would never let go this year here in the Northwest, but the clouds cooperatively parted for Summer Reunion, June 8–10, and more
than 500 alumni (classes ending in 2 and 7) and their families attended. The weekend was packed with activities such as the 6th Avenue block party at
pubs and restaurants on Friday night, and the sorority brunch on Sunday, but it also offered plenty of free time to just hang out with old friends.
Seven Puget Sound profs offered minicourses Friday
afternoon and Saturday morning on topics such as open-source software
development, and the war on terror. Above: Associate Professor of
Business and Leadership Nila Wiese with alumni students who attended
“The Nature of Transformational Leadership.”
A toast (with alumni-produced wine, no less)! At
Saturday’s dinner in an amazingly transformed field house, alumni heard
remarks by President Ron Thomas and Alumni Council President David
Watson ‘92, and applauded the 2012 Alumni Award winners (see page 39).
