She received her Ph.D. in Political Science, with an interdisciplinary emphasis in Global Studies, at the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB). She specializes in Human Rights and Comparative Politics.
Her passion for global human rights guides her research as well as her teaching. In her research, Natasha focuses on identifying, explaining, and resolving chronic gaps in human rights protection/fulfillment associated with citizenship and social exclusion, economic development, gender, migration, and globalization. As an educator across fields, she aims to cultivate global citizenship through empowerment and democratic accountability among her students.
