Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor
Karin Townson teaches courses in cardiopulmonary physical therapy and PT for performing artists. She is a certified manual therapist and a clinical instructor at Pacific Balance and Rehab Clinic in Seattle. Prior to graduating from Puget Sound's DPT program, she performed professionally in a variety of genres, including ballet, contemporary, Broadway, and aerial work. She is currently the PT for Pacific Northwest Ballet and several other performing groups in the Seattle area. Her patient population ranges from dancers to musicians to gymnasts to aerialists. She is highly involved with the American Physical Therapy Association's Performing Arts Special Interest Group.
