I oversee the department’s ICP lab and my research interests generally involve geochemistry. Current projects include Eocene magmatism and the tectonic framework of the Challis Event, spatial and temporal patterns in Cascade Arc magmatism as recorded in granites, and the environmental chemistry of lake sediment, specifically the behavior of heavy metals in Tacoma area lakes.
