Janet Marcavage
Janet Marcavage is a printmaker and Associate Professor of Art at The University of Puget Sound. She was recently a visiting artist at the Hubei Institute of Fine Arts in Wuhan, China. Particles, a solo exhibition of her prints, was held at the Zhiguan gallery in Wuhan. Marcavage’s prints have been exhibited at the International Print Center New York, 5th Bienal Internacional de Gravura do Douro in Portugal, Qijiang International Print Festival in China, Museum of Modern Art in Wales, the Dedalo Center for Contemporary Art in Italy, and The Wuhan Art Museum in China. Her work is in several collections, including The University of Wales Print Collection, Aberystwyth, Wales, The Permanent Collection of Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology, Christchurch, NZ, The Rutgers Center for Innovative Print and Paper, New Brunswick, NJ and The Plains Art Museum, Fargo, ND. Marcavage holds a BFA from the University of The Arts and an MFA from The University of Wisconsin-Madison.
