Heather Jaasko-Fisher

Visiting Instructor, School of Education

After graduating from the University of Puget Sound MAT Program in 1995, Heather taught for nine years in the Tacoma School District as a general music specialist, kindergarten teacher, and drama instructor.  In the fall of 2005 she returned to the Puget Sound MAT Program, beginning her role as Instructional Supervisor.  In addition to supervising field experiences, she leads field-related seminars and teaches a course on teaching and learning for the MAT music students. 

Beyond her work in the classroom and in the School of Education, Heather has also enjoyed teaching children’s theatre classes for the Tacoma Little Theater, has been teaching private music lessons since 1994, and plays the cello in the Tacoma Community College Orchestra.
