Michael J. Curley, a literary scholar specializing in the languages and literatures of the Middle Ages, is Emeritus Professor of English and Director of the Honors Program. His most recent book is Alessandro Manzoni, Two Plays (2002). Other books include Physiologus (1979), Saint Patrick's Purgatory (1993) and Geoffrey of Monmouth (1994). He teaches courses on Dante, Celtic Literature, and English Literature of the pre-modern period.
