PHYS 122

General University Physics

Fundamental principles of heat, electricity, magnetism, and optics are treated. Topics from the early twentieth century are introduced, leading to the Bohr model of the atom. A weekly laboratory is required.

Prerequisites: PHYS 121 and MATH 181 (may be taken concurrently). Credit for PHYS 122 will not be granted to students who have completed PHYS 112.
