This course is about thinking and working as an artist, which involves the process of finding one's subject, discovering one's method of working, and examining these things as parts in the creative process. By focusing on process, students create a coherent body of work. In addition to studio work, students engage in discussions of readings about theories and issues in contemporary art. This course is required of all studio art majors who enter the university in the fall of 2002 or thereafter.
Prerequisites: Art Major with Junior or Senior standing.
