What Students Pay
As an independent college, we recognize our responsibility to help meet the financial need of students who want to invest in a rigorous liberal arts education. On average, we offer need-based aid awards to approximately 62 percent of our students, and approximately 90 percent of students receive some form of financial assistance.
Award packages typically combine scholarships and grants, loans, and student employment. Merit scholarships may be available to students who demonstrate high academic achievement or special talents in music and the arts. Although financial need is not a criteria for receipt of merit or talent scholarships, these awards are used to help meet the financial need of recipients who demonstrate need through completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
The Student Financial Services staff helps students and their parents identify financial resources to achieve educational goals, and have prepared a brochure, Money Matters: Your guide to costs, financing, and financial aid.
