Arts & Lectures
The opportunity to attend arts and lectures on campus is integral to a Puget Sound education. Most events are free or tickets are available to students at a nominal fee. Guest speakers often hold master classes, visit classrooms, or meet with students in small groups during their stays on campus.
Recent guests have included playwright Edward Albee, NPR correspondent Nina Totenberg, composer Philip Glass, human rights activist Cornel West, Middle East expert Thomas Friedman, naturalist and environmental activist Terry Tempest Williams, journalist and social observer David Halberstam, and a host of contemporary rock bands, political figures, and others brought to campus by the Associated Students of University of Puget Sound.
