1. When should I visit Puget Sound?

We encourage all prospective students to visit campus anytime they are able; fall, winter, spring, or summer. We do encourage students, especially seniors, to visit during our academic year so that they are able to take campus tours, stay overnight in our residence halls, have lunch with current students, interview with an admission counselor, and even sit in on actual classes. Please view our academic calendar to see when our students are on break and when the campus is closed for holidays.

3. What do I bring for an overnight visit?

On an overnight visit, you are responsible for bringing a sleeping bag and pillow, a towel, and any clothes or toiletries that you may require. Chances are that you will have some down time during the visit too, so feel free to bring homework, a book, etc.

4. Why do an admission interview?

Interviews at Puget Sound are both evaluative and informational. By providing the opportunity for a face-to-face conversation between you and an admission representative, an interview allows the University to learn more about your personality and interests. Our goal is to get to know the individual behind the application. During an admission interview, students have the opportunity to ask questions about Puget Sound and explain any special personal circumstances that may have shaped high school experiences.

5. How can I schedule an interview?

Current seniors can schedule an interview as part of a visit to campus. Additionally counselors will conduct interviews during their travel, so keep an eye on our website to find out when your counselor will be in your area and feel free to call or email them to set up a time. We also offer the opportunity for you to interview with an alumnus in your hometown.
