Why did you choose University of Puget Sound?
It's the biggest of the small Pacific Northwest liberal arts schools. It's close to Seattle, Canada, the mountains, and the water. What more could you want? But really, the thing that struck me the most when I visited was the campus community. Everyone was so friendly and I actually think my tour guide said hi to at least every other person we passed. I could really sense the unique sense of community that Puget Sound has and I loved it!
What professor has especially inspired you during your time at Puget Sound?
Greta Austin...she's intelligent, hilarious, and glamorous.
What has been your favorite class?
Christianity & Law! It was absolutely fascinating...and it was the smallest class I've had so far at Puget Sound so we had some great discussions.
What campus activities do you participate in?
CVP, KUPS, and Passages.
What is your favorite place on campus?
Despite all the time I spend in Diversions, I'd say that the KUPS booth is my favorite place to be on campus.
What is your favorite food in the Wheelock Student Center?
Iced coffee drinks from Diversions or Oppenheimer. And I love when the sandwich station has pepperjack cheese.
What advice would you give to a prospective student or first year about the Puget Sound experience?
Try everything, meet people. I think campus can be as big or as small as you make it.
What quirky or fun thing do you wish you had known before you came to Puget Sound?
People kayak in the pool!! What?! I love it.
Who is your favorite character from a movie/book/television series?
Liz Lemon from 30 Rock.
If you could witness any event past, present or future, what would it be?
Every night in the summer in Yosemite National Park, people used to pour hot embers from the top of Glacier Point to make a crazy fire waterfall. They don't do it anymore for obvious reasons (danger, environmental damage, etc.) but it was supposed to look so cool. Yosemite is one of my favorite places in the world and I would have been so stoked to see that.
What’s the #1 most played song on your iTunes/Spotify?
Ain't Too Proud To Beg by The Temptations
