Why did you choose University of Puget Sound?

I chose Puget Sound mainly because I could play volleyball and focus on my academics at the same time. I also loved the campus and the location, as well as the idea of a liberal arts education.

What has been your favorite course?

My favorite course was my introduction to computer science course (CSCI161). I had never taken a computer science class before and never thought I would go into it since my mom is a database administrator. But, here I am 3 years later with computer science as a major.

What is your favorite place on campus?

My favorite place on campus depends on the weather. If it is sunny out, my favorite place is anywhere outside! If it is not, I would say my favorite place is the fieldhouse playing volleyball or working out.

What is your favorite food in the Wheelock Student Center?

My favorite meal in the SUB is the Sunflower/Hazelnut Patty at the vegan station with plain pasta on the side. I would also have to include that anything with peanut butter is also a favorite.

What advice would you give to a prospective student or first year about the Puget Sound experience?

My advice would be to be really open to opportunities, ways to get involved on campus, changing majors/minors, etc. Come to college open-minded and ready for change and growth.

What campus activities do you participate in?

Campus Visit Program, Tutor math at the Center for Writing, Learning, & Teaching, BLP assistant, Pi Beta Phi, Varsity Volleyball team, Phi Eta Sigma, Order of Omega, Math Club, ACM-W, BLP

What quirky or fun thing do you wish you had known before you came to Puget Sound?
