Why did you choose University of Puget Sound?
I chose Puget Sound because everything clicked when I visited campus for the first time. The academic departments interested me and it was clear students were engaged with what they were studying. Walking around campus I could see myself feeling comfortable and at home. I thought about how I wanted to sit in Diversions and study with my friends like a saw so many students doing. Students smiled at me on the pathways and it was clear they were very happy with their lives here.
What professor has especially inspired you during your time at Puget Sound?
David Sousa, the chair of the Politics and Government department. He challenges students in politics to identify puzzles and try to tell the full story of any idea or event. He is constantly excited to talk about what he has learned and encourages students share that excitement.

A walk down to the water is the perfect study break!

If you could have one person with you on a deserted island, who would it be and why?
I would have to say my older brother, Nathan. He would not only entertain me but would figure some way to get us out of there.
