Aaliah Largusa is a Business and Communication major who moved from Las Vegas to Tacoma—making the big move to a city with a culture completely different from her hometown.
Kate Harris has an interest in immersing herself in other cultures—from her academic interests to love of foreign films at the Grand Cinema. But it was her experience studying abroad in Granada, Spain that helped push her outside of her comfort zone and changed her life.
Sam Kaufman is a music major, music lover, and a newfound risk-taker. Not only has he found ways to embrace his love of music at Puget Sound, but he's also learned to take risks in order to become his authentic self.
Lily Price-Skelly exemplifies what it means to shape her own destiny. Her special interdisciplinary major led her to take a Basics in Bioethics course... which led to a publication of her work in an undergrad bioethics journal!

Hana DeGuzman is a student-athlete from San Jose, CA. She loves being an Orientation Leader because she gets to meet new people and help incoming students feel comfortable around campus.
Catherine Frisiras is a double major in Exercise Science and Biochemistry. She says one of her favorite academic experiences was a class about evolution that included a trip to the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium.
Eliana Goldberg took a first-year writing seminar titled "Religion on the Border: Boundaries of Religion and Politics" and loved it so much she chose to pursue a double major in Religious Studies and Politics & Government.
Sophie Semenjuk, from Los Angeles, CA, is pursuing a double major in Politics & Government (US) and International Political Economy. She's also an orientation leader—ask her about the immersive experiences!
Romi Miller is involved in many activities across campus, including the Campus Visit Program, Greek Life, Varsity Crew, Phi Eta Sigma Honors Society, and Peer Ally. She's studying Exercise Science, and her favorite academic experience was in Anatomy.
When asked what she values most about the Puget Sound experience, Ella Denman mentions the relationships she's made with other students and how they are always there to support and challenge her.
When Jenna Krueger isn't working on her approved research project for her Psychology program, the Oregon native loves to visit Wright Park to see all the colorful flowers and tropical plants.
Ale Vidal Meza, from Lima, Perú, enjoys exploring and understanding issues and events through fieldwork or outreach activities while studying Economics, Environmental Policy & Decision Making.
Lia Van Steeter, International Political Economy, believes that the most valuable part of her Puget Sound education is how loved, supported, and believed in she was by her friends and professors. She also really liked studying at the end of the peaceful office hallways in Wyatt Hall!
As a Business Administration and Computer Science major, Sofi Vazquez has loved meeting her amazing classmates at Puget Sound. The school has taught her that even if it looks like you have not much in common, they can still teach you many things and help you grow!
Yes, Lucy Peloso keeps busy in the Business Leadership Program while also minoring in German. But she also is involved in various campus activities, such as Ultimate Frisbee, Investment Club, Greek life, and the Campus Visit program. She didn't even know frisbee was a sport before college, but now it's one of her favorite pastimes!
Kelsie Neumann has met a lot of amazing people she now calls friends at her time at Puget Sound. She's a Biochemistry major who also is involved in several campus activities, such as Chemistry Club and Hall Government, amongst others. She values learning and growing around others who also want to learn and grow.
After taking one chemistry class at Puget Sound, Emily Chu switched her major from Politics and Government to Chemistry! She also plays the violin, which has been a steady part of the past 3 years of her college experience. She finds it to be meditative!
Originally from Evergreen, Colorado, Eva Sophia Shimanski loves the Proctor Farmers Market, specifically the fresh flowers, and locally sourced fruits and vegetables. Puget Sound has taught her about "grit"—college is challenging but she has learned to be courageous and take chances.
Kyra Hartley is a Business Leadership major and an extrovert, who loves involving herself in many activities around campus that help her grow! She loves being a tour guide—in fact, she first toured as a sophomore in high school and knew right away that she'd be giving tours at Puget Sound one day.
