Each semester the Office of International Programs requires a pre-departure session for students who will be studying abroad in the forthcoming semester. The session covers valuable information on various topics, including:

  • transfer of credits
  • pre-registration procedures
  • health and safety while abroad
  • cultural adjustment both while abroad and after returning to the U.S.

Study abroad students will also have the chance to talk with Puget Sound students who have recently returned from a study abroad experience!

Attendance at the pre-departure session is required for all students who are participating in a study abroad program. If you need to miss the meeting, you will need to make up the session.
