Roy, a midwesterner, spent his junior year abroad in Paris, France and was hooked on international education. After working in international development he wanted to experience the "developing" world and joined the Peace Corps in Benin, West Africa as a forestry/beekeeping volunteer. He studied Southeast Asia in graduate school and has spent summers in Guatemala and Vietnam. He was married in Florence, Italy and previously worked as a Study Abroad Country Director in Kerala, India. Roy has led study abroad programs to such diverse locations as Australia, Czech Republic and Thailand.

When not figuring out how to visit a new international location, Roy enjoys hiking, camping and exploring the Pacific Northwest with his family. A bit of a sports junkie, he is always excited for the upcoming season and loves sampling new IPAs.
