The role of the Business Leadership Program Student Advisory Board is to provide a communication link—the student's voice—between the business leadership program students and the program’s director. The board also leads BLP students’ engagement in community service, peer-mentoring, and social programming. Please feel free to contact them.
I was born and raised in San Diego, California. I am pursuing a major in Business Leadership and a minor in Economics. On campus, I am a Student Admissions Associate and a Registrar Assistant for the Office of the Registrar. Off campus, I am a Marketing & Sales Intern at Invest Performance Solutions in Lakewood, WA. In my free time I enjoy eating at Memo's and Ice Cream Social on 6th Ave and if its sunny out, I love jumping in the Sound. I am very excited for the many opportunities BLP events will bring this year and I hope to represent my senior class as best as I can. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to send me an email.
I'm a senior from Boise, ID pursuing a double major in International Business Leadership and Chinese. I have a passion for the outdoors and hope to pursue a career in environmental business. I enjoy traveling and hiking when I get the chance, and am an amateur investor. I spent a semester abroad in China, so if anyone has questions about studying abroad, particularly in Asia, I'm always available to talk.
I am originally from Los Angeles, CA, but I have easily made Tacoma and the Puget Sound area my new home. As a Junior at the University of Puget Sound, I am an International Business Major with a minor in Economics. On campus I am the Chapter Editor of the Sigma Chi Fraternity Delta Phi Chapter, Secretary of the University of Puget Sound Investment Club, and the Advertising Chair of the largest student-run club on campus, the Repertory Dance Group. My hobbies include building strong relationships with classmates, choreographing dances, and occasionally stopping to pet the local dogs on campus.
I am a current junior at UPS and in the prestigious Business Leadership Program. When I am not involved in various on-campus activities such as the campus radio station, KUPS or the Black Student Union, I manage an online vintage store on Etsy.com. I also maintain a personal fashion blog and help other professionals maintain their online presence.
I'm a sophomore from Boise, Idaho, and I'm pursuing a double major in Business Leadership and Economics. I am a Resident Community Coordinator this year as well as the student representative serving on the Board of Trustees Academic & Student Affairs committee. When I have free time, I enjoy grabbing coffee with friends and exploring Tacoma. "Ask yourself if what you're doing today is getting you closer to where you want to be tomorrow." –unknown
Hello fellow colleagues! My name is Lucy Douglas and I am from Issaquah, Washington (about 45 minutes north of campus). While at home I enjoy spending time with my two cats, Ally and Tom, and going out to the barn to ride my horse, Jake. On campus I am a member of the crew team and Alpha Phi Women's Fraternity. My love for business began when I joined a club during high school called DECA where students get together and compete at the area, state, and national level. I am looking forward to bringing my leadership skills from my experience with horse training, volunteer work, and as a representative of the class of 2019 last year to create an enriching and memorable year for everybody.
Hi! I’m Leslie and I’m a freshman from Las Vegas, Nevada. In addition to my involvement in the Business Leadership Program, I am a student in the Honors program, a new member of the crew team, and a copy editor for the Trail. On a typical day here in Tacoma, you’ll find me studying with a hot cup of coffee in Oppenheimer, hitting the gym or the yoga mat, shopping for records with friends, or heading to Met Market for a cookie. I look forward to a positive and inspiring year on the BLP Student Advisory Board!
Hey, loggers my name is Alfredo and I'm from Puyallup, Washington. UPS is only 30 minutes away but I'm excited to live on campus and in the beautiful city of Tacoma. Currently, I am on the path of maybe a double major in politics and government. (Alongside with the business leadership program, not sure what part specifically.) I am involved with a lot of the clubs through the Yellow House, like Latino Unidos y Advocates for Detainee Voices. On the weekends you can catch me working at the Original Pancake House on 6th (Best pumpkin pancakes ever!) I am excited for this year on the BLP board and getting to be the representative for my cohort class of 2020.
