The role of the Business Leadership Program Student Advisory Board is to provide a communication link—the student's voice—between the business leadership program students and the program’s director. The board also leads BLP students’ engagement in community service, peer-mentoring, and social programming. Please feel free to contact them.
Hello my name is Samantha Dittman and I am a senior business and economics major from Whitefish, MT. I spent last semester studying abroad at the University of Edinburgh, completed an internship at Russell Investments over the summer, and this semester I am an Economics 170 course assistant. In my free time I enjoy skiing, hiking, and playing soccer.
I’m a senior from Palo Alto, California, and I’m pursuing a double major in Business and Economics. I run for Puget Sound on both the Cross Country and Track team, and will be completing my fourth season for each this year. I’ve finished up an internship that I had for the past two summers at Morgan Stanley, where I learned about financial advising.
I was born and raised in San Diego, California. I hope to pursue a major in Business Leadership and a minor in Economics. I am an Orientation Leader and a Registrar Assistant for the Office of the Registrar here on campus. In my free time I enjoy eating at Memo's and Ice Cream Social on 6th Ave and if its sunny out, I love jumping in the Sound. I am very excited for the many opportunities BLP events will bring this year and I hope to represent my junior class as best as I can. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to send me an email.
I'm a junior studying BLP with an international emphasis with a Chinese double major. I have completed two internships with Micron Technology and am going abroad to Shanghai this spring. Outdoor adventuring and traveling are my biggest passions, and I also enjoy a good walk down Commencement Way. I am starting small-time personal investments and hope to pursue a career in finance or management.
Hello! My name is Courtney and I am a sophomore from Sacramento, California. In addition to the Business Leadership Program, I am also pursuing a major in Psychology. In the future, I hope to work in a children's home. On campus, I am involved in RHA, a member of the Phi Eta Sigma honor society, and I hope to become a Peer Advisor for freshmen in the next year. I love to travel and one day hope to go to Africa and aid children.
I am originally from Los Angeles, CA, but I have easily made Tacoma and the Puget Sound area my new home. As a sophomore at the University of Puget Sound, I am an International Business Major with a minor in Economics. On campus I am the Chapter Editor of the Sigma Chi Fraternity Delta Phi Chapter, Secretary of the University of Puget Sound Investment Club, and the Advertising Chair of the largest student-run club on campus, the Repertory Dance Group. My hobbies include building strong relationships with classmates, choreographing dances, and occasionally stopping to pet the local dogs on campus.
I am from Southern California and love adventuring! I was a passages leader this past year and look forward to being a leader in the future years. I am a member of PugetSound Outdoors, as well as the Alpha Phi Fraternity. I love spending time down at the Sound and exploring the Pacific Northwest. I cannot wait to discover what tools the BLP will provide me to be successful in the Advertising or Marketing field later on in life. Roll Logs!
I am a freshman from Boise, Idaho also known as the City of Trees and I am so excited to be at UPS! I love working at the Information Center on campus as well as at Michael Kors in the Tacoma Mall. Furthermore, I am enjoying being in residence life as president of Anderson Langdon's RHA. I look forward to the coming year. "Defeat what defeats you." -unknown
Hello fellow colleagues! My name is Lucy Douglas and I am from Issaquah, Washington (about 45 minutes north of campus). While at home I enjoy spending time with my two cats, Ally and Tom, and going out to the barn to ride my horse, Jake. On campus I play intramural volleyball and am a member of the crew team. My love for business began when I joined a club during high school called DECA where students get together and compete at the area, state, and national level. I am looking forward to bringing my leadership skills from my experience with horse training, volunteer work, and as secretary of my high school's business program to represent the class of 2019 to create an enriching and memorable year for everybody.
