The role of the Business Leadership Program Student Advisory Board is to provide a communication link—the student's voice—between the business leadership program students and the program’s director. Clayton grew up on the Oregon Coast and loved the Pacific Northwest so much he decided to stay in the area for school. In addition to the Business Leadership Program, he is involved with Logger Athletics as a swimmer and as the co-president for the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Clayton has interned with Northwestern Mutual and a District Attorney’s Office in Oregon. After graduating, he plans to attend the University of Oregon Law School to study dispute resolution.
Kaitie is a senior in the Business Leadership Program with an emphasis in International Business and an Art History minor. She just returned from an incredible semester in Paris with the Business and International Affairs program of IES. Kaitie grew up in Seattle and moved to Kansas ten years ago, which has tornados, but no flying monkeys. When she's not giving campus tours, interning for local entrepreneurs, and participating in the amazing Greek community on campus, she enjoys visiting art museums, eating cupcakes, and supporting the world economy by buying shoes. She hopes to pursue a career in brand management for a company in the luxury sector.
Maya Hallstein is a senior from the Bay Area. She was an RA her sophomore year and studied abroad in Denmark in the fall of junior year. She is currently a Peer Advisor and connects freshman with academic resources on campus. This past summer she stayed in Tacoma and learned the world of retail through an internship with Target.
Samantha Dittman is a junior from Whitefish, Montana. She is a double major in Business and Economics. She has been interning at Russell Investments for going on a year and during this time has reaffirmed her interest in finance and investments. Outside of academics, she enjoys skiing, hiking, and playing soccer. She is also a member of Alpha Phi sorority and Phi Eta Sigma honor society, and looks forward to working with the Student Advisory Board.
Cooper Weissman, and is from Claremont, CA, but enjoys the climate in Washington more, both meteorologically and socially speaking. Aside from his studies in business, he enjoys taking classes that range across a wide array of disciplines from international political economy to sociology and anthropology. Additionally, he enjoys reading, playing soccer, backpacking, and playing jazz music on KUPS radio.
Amber Moore is a sophomore from Medford, Oregon. She hopes to pursue a minor in Communications and intends on focusing on the hospitality industry after graduation. She is a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority and the Student Alumni Association. In her free time she loves exploring new dessert places and adventuring around the Washington area. She is extremely excited for the BLP events this year and is available to answer any questions.
Luke Parkinson was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. He hopes to complete a Business Leadership major and a Chinese studies major or minor. His goal is to finish undergraduate studies with a focus on finance and fluency in Chinese. He is a member of the Investment Cluband enjoys outdoor activities, especially involving his bike. He has a passion for travelling and has been to various places around the world, including most of the 50 United States and several foreign countries. He hopes to represent his fellow sophomores to the best of his abilities, and if anyone ever needs to reach him shoot him an email!
Jennifer Mayemura is involved in the soccer club and is looking forward to running track in the spring. She is interested in Advertising and Marketing in the Business Leadership Program and hopes to start her own company one day. She cannot wait for what the University of Puget Sound has in store for her for the next three years!
Tehva Kastel Riggan is from Northern California. In addition to the BLP, Tehva thinks she may double major in Economics. When not exploring the outdoors Tehva can be found spending her free time reading and cooking. She hopes to spend a year studying abroad, ideally in London. She looks forward to the opportunities that she will get through the BLP and looks forward to getting to know her fellow BLPers.
Daniel Walker, a Seattle native, loves to play sports and explore the beautiful outdoors of Washington. He is on track to be pre-med, but is open to exploring all of the academics that the University of Puget Sound has to offer for him. Daniel is very excited to be part of the BLP and looks forward to an amazing year with his cohort!
