Scheduling Rooms/Lab Space

Read these policies before reserving rooms/labs for research. 

  1. You must have DRB or IRB approval and instructor’s approval before reserving classrooms or computer labs for research. Consult with your instructor regarding obtaining special equipment that you might need.
  2. To reserve classrooms (except WEY 320 & WEY 407), for dates NOT on Research Night, send e-mail requests to Doris Acosta at least 48 hours in advance. Contact Rita Rollins to reserve WEY 320 and WEY 407 throughout the semester. A reservation confirmation will be sent to you via e-mail once the reservation has been made.
  3. Several Weyerhaeuser rooms have been reserved exclusively for Research Night on Thursday, November 6th, 5-7:30pm and Tuesday, November 11th, 6-8:30pm. To reserve these rooms for Research Night use the on-line reservation form or contact Rita Rollins in WEY 307.
  4. If you have to cancel a confirmed room reservation, please contact the lab/room manager.
  5. All labs must be locked when not in use.  Between 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., you may request that Rita unlock Weyerhaeuser rooms/labs that have been reserved.  If your room reservation is scheduled after 5:00 p.m., you will need security clearance.  Security will be contacted automatically when you reserve rooms through Doris Acosta and Rita Rollins.
  6. If you rearrange a room, you must return the furniture to its original position before you leave. 
  7. Hallway furniture must be returned to its original position if you’ve moved it.
  8. Do not remove journals, books, equipment, or other materials from any lab.
  9. Do not create hallway obstructions that interfere with regular class activities. 
  10. No eating in computer labs and please clean-up after your experiment is complete.
  11. Quiet, please. Excessive noise interferes with classes and/or creates disruption in faculty offices.
  12. Before using a lab space with locked laptops it is necessary to have your instructor unlock the laptop closet.

WEY 318E Conference Room & WEY 318ABCFG Cubicles:These rooms can be reserved online. You’ll be contacted by email to confirm your reservation.

WEY 320 & 407: Contact Rita Rollins to reserve computer labs in Weyerhaeuser. NOTE:  Instructor approval is required to reserve computer labs.

Student Research Night (Nov. 6 & Nov. 11):  A bank of classrooms have been reserved for Thursday, Nov. 6th and Tuesday, Nov. 11th for Student Research Night.  Reserve sessions online   You'll be contacted by email to confirm your reservation.
