Favorite Thing(s) about Puget Sound and the School of Music:
The teachers really care about their students here. Kayla is close to professors as well as classmates, and has formed many valuable connections here. She also appreciates that Music Business is a degree track option here, as it is not offered at many schools. Kayla was originally a Music Education major, but switched to Music Business early on. Music Business feels very practical and she is happy with the direction she is heading.

Favorite Class:
Music Theory (aural skills): The class is truly applicable and has "helped my sight-reading skills a lot!” Kayla appreciates how everything connects between aural skills, music theory notation, and music practice.

Why did you choose Puget Sound?
Kayla liked that Puget Sound is close to home (just 35 miles from Seattle). She also appreciated that when she auditioned, the professors truly made an effort to make her feel comfortable. She just “felt right” on campus, liked the feel of the school, and loved the beautiful surroundings.

Favorite place on campus:
The Oppenheimer Café
  - she recommends a nonfat vanilla latte!
