Serious About Singing

Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014  •  8:30 a.m.–4 p.m.

An intensive, one-day workshop for top regional high school singers dedicated to expanding and improving their classical training.

Set on the beautiful campus of University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA, this workshop offers young singers the opportunity to explore their craft through sessions on foreign language diction, movement and expression in singing, artistic interpretation, and overall presentation. Under the guidance of our outstanding vocal faculty, the sessions are combined with small group master class coaching that provides each singer with personal attention and individual commentary. Students get a glimpse of what happens at a quality undergraduate music program, as well as gain the value of hearing other, very talented performers at work. Serious About Singing provides excellent training tools for students preparing for college auditions, vocal competitions, and those determined to take their skills to the next level.
