Current Students

The Art Department awards various prizes and honors to recognize achievements in the studio art areas, in juried student exhibitions and other occasions, as well as in research writing in art history. Some scholarship aid is specifically reserved for art majors. These scholarships are awarded based on merit by the Art Department faculty.

Incoming and Transfer Students

Incoming freshmen or transfer students interested in majoring in studio art or art history are eligible to apply for for one of our $2,500 Art Department scholarships. The scholarship is renewable for three additional years of full time undergraduate study, subject to maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.0, demonstrating distinctive achievement in art studies, and declaring a major in art.  Selection will be made on the applicant’s potential for academic and artistic success and the merit of any materials submitted for review.  The application deadline is February 1.
