Course Description: Do you need a refresher on what makes a research article trustworthy? This one-day course will review what to look for in a research article beyond the conclusion. We will take a closer look at the methods and results sections with an eye toward clinical decision making.
Objectives: Upon course completions, participants will be able to:
1. Skim a research article to pick out relevant information in 10 minutes.
2. Understand the concept of internal validity as it relates to interpreting the results of a research article.
3. Critically analyze the results of a research article and decide whether to apply the results to PT practice.
