State-of-the-art facilities that foster collaboration

  • Classroom and clinic instruction occur in state-of-the-art facilities that are shared with Physical Therapy, Psychology, Exercise Science, and Neuroscience, providing opportunities for interprofessional education and research. Physical space includes both classroom and clinic areas that enable students to develop beginning clinical skills in a typical clinic environment. The clinic spaces include pediatric and adult treatment areas, including a simulated apartment lab, a work hardening area, and a mobility park. There is also a technology laboratory that is stocked with a variety of devices that can foster occupational performance, including a driving simulator and a Dynavision. Facilities are available to students outside of class to provide opportunities to practice burgeoning clinical skills.  Interprofessional education opportunities such as a collaborative OT/PT summer camp for children with disabilities are available for student learning.
