  • SciFinder Scholar Web
    (Individual registration link)
    Limited to 3 simultaneous users. Individual registration required.
    Web version of SciFinder Scholar. Contains more than 13 million single- and multi-step reactions, more than 1 billion predicted and experimental properties, abstracts and references from 9,500 journals, the CAS REGISTRY database, and patent records. Search by structure or keyword. NOTE: Upon access, all users must request a username and password from CAS using their UPS email address. Registration is complete after clicking the link within the return email from CAS.
  • ACS Journals Search
    American Chemical Society. Contains the full text of all titles published by ACS from 1879 to present.
  • Google Scholar
    Contains about 40% of Chem Abstracts. Worth a look. Link to UPS Library full text: Google Scholar > Scholar Preferences > Type 'University of Puget Sound' into the Library Links text box > Save Preferences.
  • PubChem
    Search PubChem Compound, PubChem Substance, PubChem Bioassy, or PubChem Structure Search.
  • Toxline
    All areas of toxicology, including chemicals and pharmaceuticals, pesticides, environmental pollutants, and mutagens and teratogens.
  • Academic Search Premier (EBSCO)
    Full text database covering all subjects. Contains peer reviewed and popular press literature.
