Collection Development Policy

The purpose of Collins Memorial Library’s Collection Development Policy is twofold:

• To serve as a guide for liaison librarians and faculty in selecting, maintaining, and deselecting materials.
• To inform university faculty, administration, students and others of the library’s policies in developing and maintaining its collections.
• Library Mission Statement

This policy is subject to continuing change as new ideas and resources become available in the collection development process.
