Ryan Bede, baritone, holds degrees in music from the University of Puget Sound and the University of Washington and frequently performs with numerous area organizations. Favorite operatic roles have included Guglielmo in Cosi fan tutte, Count Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro, Schaunard in La boheme, Ben in Menotti's The Telephone, and several contemporary opera works. He most recently performed in Love's Fool by Seattle area composer, Kam Morrill. Recent concert engagements include Handel's Messiah, Bach's Magnificat and Fauré's Requiem.
Mr. Bede is a past participant of the Next Generation Artist program with Tacoma Opera and spent two summers with the Aspen Opera Theater Center in Aspen, Colorado. In addition to teaching studio voice in the University of Puget Sound Community Music Department, he is also instructor of music at L'école franco-americaine in Mercer Island and is a receipient of the Singers Training Fund grant from the Seattle Opera Guild.
