Noelle Burns

Noelle Burns received her B. Mus. in Oboe Performance from the Eastman School of Music where she studied under Richard Killmer.  She earned her M. Mus. in Oboe Performance from the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University.  At the University of Washington, Ms. Burns studied with Laila Storch.

Ms. Burns played Principal Oboe with the Victoria Symphony, Victoria, TX from 2005 - 2008.  She played 2nd Oboe/English Horn with the River Oaks Chamber Orchestra and 2nd Oboe/English Horn with the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra.  She was a member of the Houston Bach Society from 2002 - 2005.  She studied at the American Institute of Musical Studies, Austria in 2003 and 2005.

Ms. Burns taught oboe in her private studio in Houston, TX from 1999 - 2008.  She led master classes and private lessons at Spring High School from 2006 - 2008.  Ms. Burns also coached the Houston Youth Symphony.

Ms. Burns plays oboe with Tacoma Symphony and with Northwest Sinfonietta. She has taught oboe with the University of Puget Sound Community Music Department since fall, 2009.
