Technology Services consists of Client Support and Educational Technology Services, Enterprise Information Services, Network and Server Systems, and the Project Management Office.

  • Service Desk Hours Extended as Semester Ends

    As we approach the end of spring semester, hours at the Technology Service Desk in the lower level of Collins Memorial Library will be as follows:

    Monday-Thursday, May 6-9, 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
    Friday, May 10, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
    Saturday, May 11, noon to 4:00 p.m.
    Sunday, May 12, noon to 10:00 p.m.
    Monday-Thursday, May 13-16, 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
    Friday, May 17, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

    Summer hours for the Technology Service Desk will be 8:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

  • Organizational Restructure Scheduled May 1 for TS
    April 10, 2013 2:34 PM

    Chief Technology Officer William Morse has announced an organizational restructure for Technology Services effective May 1.

    Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) and Network and Server Systems (NSS) will consolidate into one functional unit with a unified reporting structure. The directors of EIS and NSS will report to the new role of Deputy Chief Information Officer, Enterprise Information Services and Network and Server Systems, to be held by Travis Nation. Nation will continue to serve also as Director of the Project Management Office and Project Manager for Optimize Puget Sound.

    There will be two additional title changes effective May 1. Chief Technology Officer will become Chief Information Officer, and Cindy Riche, Director of Client Support and Educational Technology Services, will become Deputy Chief Information Officer, Client Support and Educational Technology Services.

    Technology Services is pleased to participate in the Campus Resource Fair in the Trimble Forum from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. during Admitted Student Days on Saturday, April 6, Friday, April 12, and Friday, April 19.

    Stop by our table to visit and pick up free goodies and our handout, Technology Services for Puget Sound Students. We can answer any questions you might have about the technology you’ll need, use, and want as a college student.

  • CTO Featured in Online Newspaper

    William Morse, chief technology officer and associate vice president for technology services, is featured in the latest issue of The EvoLLLution, an online grassroots newspaper focused on the impact of non-traditional programs on higher education and society-at-large. Morse is interviewed on the role “Big Data” will play in higher education management and the biggest challenges facing the implementation of tools geared toward this end.
