Comparison Institutions

 

 

Peer institutions are used to compare campus performance with institutions of similar characteristics (e.g., mission, size, endowment).  The University of Puget Sound has identified four groups of comparison institutions: National Peer, Next Step, Premier, and Northwest Peer.  Each group is described briefly below and the members of each group and their locations are listed.

  • National Peers
    Institutions that are similar to Puget Sound.
  • Next Step
    Residential liberal arts institutions with greater resources than Puget Sound.
  • Premier
    Residential liberal arts institutions with much greater resources than Puget Sound.
  • Northwest Peers
    Residential liberal arts institutions in the Pacific Northwest.
