Content Management System (CMS) Upgrade Preview
Coming in Summer 2013: an updated university website design AND an updated version of the BigTree content management system (CMS). That’s right! With the planned website design changes, we will be upgrading from our current CMS version (1.9) to the current public version (4.0)! As you might expect, a lot has changed between those versions. If you’re a current CMS user, come to this preview session to learn more about the changes to the CMS before the redesign goes live. (Rest assured, a number of CMS overview sessions will be scheduled around the time of launch to orient you to the new version whether or not you are able to come to this preview session!)
About the facilitator: Barbara Weist is the Web manager at Puget Sound, working with offices and departments across campus to create and maintain their pages within the university’s website. She has twice transitioned the website to new designs, and is gearing up for a third site “refresh” in summer 2013.
