Servicing the Bins
Recycling and glass bins at on-campus houses will be emptied every other Thursday. You will be provided with a flyer detailing how to properly recycle with the University of Puget Sound; this flyer will also include the dates on which your recycling will be emptied. It is the responsibility of the members of on-campus houses to pull the recycling bins out before 7am on the correct Thursday to be emptied.
It is also the responsibility of the members of on-campus houses to pull out there garbage bins to be emptied. Garbage bins are emptied every Thursday and must be pulled out before 7am.
If you are missing a commingled or glass bin, or if your bin is constantly too full and would like to requests another, please send Sustainability Services an email at recycling@pugetsound.edu.
Extra things to note:
- Sustainability Services collects electronic itms to be recycled. Small electronics such as iPods and cell phones can be placed in glass bins to be collected by our team. Larger items such as laptops, printers, and microwaves can be collected as well, although they should not go in the glass bins. Please send Sustainability Services an email at recycling@pugetsound.edu so that we can coordinate with you to collect the item(s).
